WOW: Creative Park
If you enjoy paper crafts, printing your own cards, and/or scrapbooking and you have an inkjet printer, check out Canon’s Creative Park. It’s a fun site full of projects you can print out and use at home. From greeting cards to envelopes and stationery to 3-D paper crafts to calendars, there’s a lot here to explore and print. There’s also a digital photo gallery where you can download quality photos to use. Even if you own a bubble jet printer, there’s a link for crafty ideas using one of those, too.
Enjoy!

I didn’t forget about Word Out Wednesday; I just didn’t get a chance to post.
Plastics are all around us, and on one of the morning shows yesterday (I can’t recall which and a search didn’t tell me), but it was mentioned that we shouldn’t drink out of plastic bottles with a 3, 6, or 7 in the little recycling triangle. They have too many toxins that seep into the beverage. Too, the 1s are okay according to the interview, but it was suggested they be used only the one time (sodas, water, Gatorade, etc) because washing them with detergent breaks down the chemicals.
Something to think about. Makes me wonder sometimes what we’re really doing to our bodies that the government isn’t willing to tell us just yet.
While on the subject: RECYCLE those bottles to keep them out of our landfills.

Wondermommy has come up with a great meme for getting the word out about something you really like and want to share with others. It can be anything from a great book to a good recipe to an interesting blog. This is my first time participating, but I really like the concept, so I’m sure I’ll try to get in the habit of doing it on a weekly basis.
.For this week’s WOW, I’d like to mention the fun crochet-along started by June of PlanetJune. Every two months or so, a theme is decided upon and those who wish to participate can post their projects that go along with that particular theme. The current theme is “Small Crochet”, and June writes, “Feel free to interpret this any way you wish; the only ‘rule’ is that the finished items should be under about 6 inches (or 15cm - thanks Eve!) in size. The idea is to make small items that will provide some of that ‘instant gratification’ feeling.”
So if you haven’t joined us already, hop on over to the blog, read the Join & Rules section, and get started posting.
Happy Small Crocheting!
